Maturity assessment of a Banking-as-a-Service platform

Scope

• Conducted a comprehensive overview of the current cloud-native core banking platform architecture and planned enhancements.
• Assessed the status quo across functional scope, development process, system architecture and infrastructure, validated in a live test environment and with code samples on inter-process communication and database access.
• Analyzed the future viability of the platform, focusing on scalability, extensibility, and maintainability to ensure alignment with long-term goals.
• Executed a maturity assessment of the core banking platform, specifically targeting the current and target releases.
• The assessment covered key areas, including software development practices, DevOps maturity, and the underlying system architecture & infrastructure.
• Decision basis for the board and investors ahead of a funding round. A full code review and regulatory compliance were explicitly out of scope.
